Terms & Conditions

By using Give a Hamper Ltd website, the user agrees to the following Terms and Conditions:

All online transactions between ‘Give a Hamper Ltd’ and the ‘purchaser’ are subject to the following conditions:

By accepting any order for goods from the ‘purchaser’, ‘Give a Hamper Ltd’ agrees to sell and the Purchaser agrees to purchase such goods at the price stated on Give a Hamper Ltd website and on the sole basis of the terms and conditions of Give a Hamper Ltd stated herein.

 

PRICE

All prices include VAT. In the unlikely event that an incorrect price is shown on our website, Give a Hamper Ltd reserves the right to abstain from fulfilling the order at that price. The customer will be notified by email informing them of the correct price, and given the choice to proceed with the order.

Where a price is showing a reduction, it has been on sale at the higher price for a period of at least 14 days in the previous 6 months on this website.


SECURE ONLINE PAYMENT

Give a Hamper Ltd provide a secure payment system. Payment will be process by the secure payment gateway Protx. The private data of the Purchaser will be encrypted at all times whilst in transit over the Internet. There will be a secure padlock in the corner of the users screen. Credit card payments can be made using MasterCard, Visa, Delta, American Express, Switch and Solo.

Once payment has been received in full, the goods will be dispatched. If you are ordering over £150 worth of goods, we may contact you to authenticate payment to protect against credit card fraud.

 

DELIVERY

Give a Hamper Ltd will strive to deliver goods within 72 hours of ordering (Monday – Friday) to UK Mainland. If you are ordering more than ten hampers, this may take longer to dispatch, but we will keep you informed via email.

Unfortunately we can not guarantee a delivery day or time, but will do our utmost to meet your specified requirements. We can not be held liable for any loss caused to you by late delivery.

 

All deliveries are dispatched by courier, (with the exception of mugs) and require a signature on delivery by someone over 18 years of age. If the recipient is not at home on the first delivery attempt made, a calling card will be left informing the recipient to either collect from their local Post office, or there will be a number to call to re-arrange delivery. There may be additional charges for re-delivery after the second attempt.


Once an order has been placed, an email will be sent to confirm the order and payment. When the item has been dispatched, another email will be sent with the tracking number of the parcel. At this point it becomes the responsibility of the purchaser to track their parcel. If a parcel has been delivered and signed for Give a Hamper Ltd will not be alerted to any problems.

 

DELIVERY TO HOSPITALS AND HOTELS
Give a Hamper Ltd need to state that deliveries to a hotel or hospital address may not be personally delivered to the requested recipient by our courier. This is due to the fact that in many hotels and hospitals, goods are delivered to a central delivery point such as the reception or post room.

 

Once our courier has delivered the parcel to the central delivery point, it is no longer our responsibility. We will assist where possible to locate the goods if they have not been received by the recipient, but we consider the limit of our guarantee and involvement ends on proof of delivery to the central delivery point and not the recipient.

The purchaser may have to enquire with the hotel or hospital that they are able to receive such a delivery.

 

RETURNED PARCELS

Parcels that are returned to us due to incorrect or insufficient details supplied by the purchaser will incur a full delivery charge for the return of the parcel.

Should a parcel be returned to Give a Hamper Ltd because of an error on our part a full refund will be provided to the Purchaser including delivery charges.

 

CANCELLATION

In accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations, the purchaser has a period of seven days after the date on which you received the goods to withdraw from the contract and return the goods to Give a Hamper Ltd. The purchaser is responsible for the cost of return to us, after which you shall receive a refund minus our delivery costs.

 

To cancel an order please contact us in writing, either via email, or post within seven days of delivery of your order.
Items returned must not be used and should be wrapped securely. We will refund the purchase price of the goods to you on receipt of the goods. The cost of delivery will not be refunded. Give a Hamper Ltd reserves the right to make a 10% restocking charge for any goods which are not returned in mint condition or to refuse to accept such goods, at its sole discretion.
If you cancel your order before it has been dispatched, a refund will be credited to your account. All refunds will be made within 7 days of the cancellation.

 

COMPLAINTS

Purchaser should inform Give a Hamper Ltd immediately of any problems by Telephone +44 (0)203 2867654 or email sales@giveahamper.co.uk. Complaints are taken very seriously by Give a Hamper Ltd and will be investigated as soon as they are brought to our attention.

We aim to rectify any problems as soon as possible. Please note that the Purchaser is also welcome to contact Give a Hamper Ltd on any issue relating to their order on the contact telephone or email listed above.

 

DAMAGED GOODS

If the Goods are damaged the Purchaser must contact Give a Hamper Ltd within 2 days of receipt of Goods. After this time we will not be able to offer you an exchange or refund. We will inform you of the necessary course of action which may include returning the goods to us suitably packaged and a refund or replacement will be actioned once the goods are received back.

 

SUBSTITUTIONS

Give a Hamper reserves the right to substitute any items included in the hampers of similar or greater value, if for any reason those listed on the web site are unavailable. If this is the case then you will be informed before dispatch.

 

ALCOHOL AND RAZORS

No persons under 18 years of age may place an order or receive goods fromGive a Hamper Ltd if the Goods contain alcohol or razors.


PRIVACY POLICY

Give a Hamper Ltd collects the information provided by the Purchaser at the time of ordering and uses this information lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Information is collected Give a Hamper Ltd to process the Purchaser’s order and also to provide the highest level of customer service possible. Give a Hamper Ltd will only email marketing material to the Purchaser if consent has been given. We do not pass your details onto any third parties.
